Terms of Service

Effective date: July 14, 2026

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Wormi, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. The service

Wormi provides bookshelf scanning, library management, and book recommendations. Using Wormi requires an account created with your Apple ID.

3. Accounts

Sign in with Apple is the only sign-in method. You're responsible for activity on your account. One account per person, please.

4. Subscriptions

• Supporter costs $3.99/month or $34.99/year, billed through your Apple ID.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store subscription settings.
• Early Supporter pricing is honored for as long as your subscription remains active.
• Wormi cannot issue refunds directly. Refund requests go through Apple.

5. Free tier limits

The free Explorer tier includes limits: currently 500 saved books, 3 custom shelves, 25 wishlist items, and 30 days of scan history. These limits may change with notice.

6. User content

You own your photos and library data. By using Wormi, you grant us a license to process them as needed to provide the service: identifying books, keeping your scan history, and generating recommendations.

7. Acceptable use

Don't scrape the service, reverse engineer the app, abuse the scan APIs, or upload unlawful content. We may suspend accounts that do.

8. Accuracy disclaimer

Book identification and recommendations are best-effort. Wormi does its best, but we make no warranty that identifications or recommendations are accurate or complete.

9. Affiliate links

Wormi may earn a commission on purchases made through its Bookshop.org and Amazon links. This never affects what you pay.

10. Termination

You can stop using Wormi and delete your account at any time (in the app: Profile → Settings → Delete Account, or see deleting your account). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

11. Warranty disclaimer & limitation of liability

Wormi is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wormi's total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or $50 if you paid nothing.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Wormi's operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

13. Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially, we'll give notice in the app or on this site and update the effective date above. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
